About us
Sale Barns and Garages is the local Fair Dinkum Builds outlet servicing the central Gippsland area.
We are proud to be locally owned and family operated since our inception. Our story began when Riviera Barns and Garages, Bairnsdale, expanded operations into Sale in response to growing demand.
The Fair Dinkum Sheds shopfront in Raymond Street was manned by our first staff member, Tim Wallace. As the business grew, Tim progressed from sales consultant to manager, before becoming part-owner in 2021. We now employ a team of seven staff, manage over 10 local contractors and have relocated to our Patten Street office and warehouse.
Since opening in 2017, we have built more than 2000 sheds and garages for Gippslanders. Our quality work has been rewarded with outstanding reviews and repeat customers.
We are part of the Fair Dinkum Builds nationwide franchise – one of Australia’s biggest and most trusted names in sheds. We are known for our customer service, quality workmanship and Australian-made materials such as COLORBOND®, Taurean® and Stramit®.
Fair Dinkum Sheds recently rebranded to Fair Dinkum Builds to reflect our growing product range. Along with sheds and garages for the home, farm and commercial use – we also build patios, pergolas and barns. Our look may have updated, but our service and quality remain the same.
Meet The Team

Tim joined the Fair Dinkum team six years ago. As a registered builder and plumber, Tim has a wealth of knowledge and experience. He provides the technical advice on all aspects of your build and ensures all legal requirements are met. His specialty is problem-solving and overcoming obstacles in the way of construction.
Though his role has become more managerial, Tim still loves occasionally getting on the tools and building sheds. His favourite part of the job is meeting locals and watching them bring their sheds and outdoor living spaces to life.
Tim lives in Bundalaguah with his wife and dog. When he’s not at work he’s either in the great outdoors fishing or camping; or at home renovating or gardening.
